This is gonna be a little brief because I’m short on time, but this week, I am thankful:
for three days of bestie time at work
Yesterday, my pal Brittany and I got patient assignments right next to each other, which means we share a nurse’s station. We also discovered that we are working the same three days in a row, and we were thrilled. Woohoo!
Shifts are extra fun when your work bestie is with you. 🙂
that the weather cooled down
We had some distinctly July-ish weather last week, and as the resident summer-disliker here, I was not pleased.
But this week has been back in the more normal temperature range for April, so yay! I do not want to see the 90s again for a while, please and thank you.
that my hospital pays us for doing healthstreams at home
I have heard that this is not the case at every hospital, but mine allots us a certain amount of time to do our online education at home, and I appreciate that!
I’d rather do them here in the comfort of my home.
And I almost never have extra time at work to do healthstreams anyway.
that my breakfasts and lunches are all prepped
I made some overnight protein carrot orange oats for breakfast:
And I’m having burrito bowls again for my lunches, with cilantro lime sauce OF COURSE.
I think I very nearly have my overnight oats the way I want them so I will put together a recipe soon for those who asked.
that the oak trees are done flowering
There are piles of dead oak flowers on the road now and I am SO GLAD. Those are the biggest offenders here when it comes to the yellow dust.
