I picked up the pot and SURE ENOUGH! Baby basil plants! So, if you have some geriatric basil seeds, this is your […]

You all have seen me pack this for my work lunches lots of times! I used Margin Making Mom’s original recipe, but I’ve tweaked it a little bit, mainly to make it more veggie-heavy. This is no criticism of Margin Making Mom’s version; hers is quite faithful to the Aldi original! But I am always […]

Wellllll….3/7 of my dinner meals were breakfast this week (four if I stick with my plan for pancakes tonight!) It’s a good thing I shared some of my lunch meals with you this week, just so you don’t think I subsist solely on eggs and cereal. Ha. What I Spent I spent: $102 at Aldi […]

This week, I am thankful: that I didn’t catch Covid from my patient I took care of a patient one day, and all was well. But the next day, the patient developed a cough and a low-grade fever. not how we test for COVID in the hospital. Ha. I messaged the doctor to ask for […]

What I Spent I spent: $10 at Giant $30 on a Hungry Harvest box $46 at Safeway So, for this week, I’m […]

This week, I am thankful: that I didn’t feel wrecked after my shifts A lot of times, I feel kind of wiped out for 24 hours after I clock out from a string of three shifts. But I worked five 12-hour shifts in six days, and oddly, I felt great on my first day off, […]

This is gonna be terribly off-topic for a frugal blog, so, you know, proceed as you wish. 😉 I am not the world’s biggest fan of AI. I know there are amazing ways that it is being used; for instance, I heard a Freakonomics podcast about how researchers are using it to sort through mounds […]
